Having worked in a variety of specialist areas in the NHS such as Neurological Rehabilitation, Paediatrics and Outpatient Rehabilitation, Cillian has gone on to specialize in Musculoskeletal Therapy. He has vast experience and knowledge in exercise rehabilitation, occupational and sports injuries.

Cillian has worked as First Team Physiotherapist with a number of rugby teams including Ballincollig RFC and Dolphin RFC. Prior to joining the Carbery Chartered Physiotherapy, Cillian worked in a Corporate Wellness Centre in Cork and in private practice in Ballincollig. He is currently a member of Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and CORU.

He strongly believes in promoting optimal health by shifting the focus of healthcare from a reactive, illness-based practice to proactive, preventative healthcare which is patient focused.

Sean has worked as an Athletic Therapist following his undergraduate placement with McEvoy Movement Clinic from 2020-2021. He is the official physio for the Cork minors. He has also worked in Optimum Recovery as an AT and in an S&C capacity from 2021-2023 and has also been working with sports teams as an AT since his graduation in 2020, having worked with Mountmellick GAA in Laois and Carbery Rangers GAA and St.Oliver Plunketts GAA in Cork. He has vast experience and knowledge in exercise rehabilitation, occupational and sports injuries.

Work placements during his MSc in Physiotherapy included gaining experience in stroke, respiratory rehabilitation and fracture management. Areas of physio that he has a keen interest in include prehabilitation, long-term youth athletic development and the management of tendinopathies.

Mary has over 20 years’ experience working in physiotherapy. She has worked with Munster Rugby, 2000-2005, Olympic Athletes 1999- 2011, MTU (CIT) Sports department since 2008, numerous GAA Teams and West Cork Schoolboys ETP. In the clinic setting she enjoys Orthopaedic rehabilitation, foot biomechanics and spinal treatments. She has presented at GP Summer Schools, 2019 Sports Medicine Roadshow with the Whitfield Surgical Team , ISCP National Student Conference 2020 and guest lectures with a number of Universities.

Sinead worked in UK to consolidate a wide variety of experience both as a Junior Physiotherapist at Lewisham Hospital and Senior Physiotherapist at Sevenoaks and Orpington Hospitals treating a wide variety of orthopaedic, musculoskeletal conditions. On returning to Ireland in 2003 Sinead worked in private practice in Cork city and also as a locum in SIVH working in Intensive care/ medical/surgical wards maintaining her medical and respiratory skills before taking up a specialist post in palliative care at Marymount hospice in 2004.

Sinead became interested in the area of Women’s Health Physiotherapy after having her own children and has since completed extensive post-graduate training in this area. Through her specialization in pelvic floor rehabilitation Sinead uses all her skills to provide a holistic top to toe approach to her clients at any age at any stage to ensure the lingering causes of low back pain, pelvic pain, bladder issues and separation of abdomen(tummy gap/diastasis rectus) are corrected for optimum physical function and to prevent problems occurring down the line.

Angela gained her VTCT qualifications in Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Holistic Facial Massage around twenty years ago in North Tyneside College in England before relocating to Ireland in 2004.

She has completed post-graduate training in Facial Reflexology – Clooney Concept, Advanced Massage Techniques and, most recently, completed her Aromatherapy Diploma and Certificate in Aromatherapy for Reflexologists, with Green Tara College.

One of Angela’s strengths lies in supporting women through the varying changes in their lives: menstrual problems, fertility and menopause, through the use of Reflexology and Aromatherapy.
