Cillian graduated with an Honours Masters in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University in January 2013. He also has an Honours Degree in Physiology from University College Cork.
Having worked in a variety of specialist areas in the NHS such as Neurological Rehabilitation, Paediatrics and Outpatient Rehabilitation, Cillian has gone on to specialize in Musculoskeletal Therapy. He has vast experience and knowledge in exercise rehabilitation, occupational and sports injuries.
Cillian has worked as First Team Physiotherapist with a number of rugby teams including Ballincollig RFC and Dolphin RFC. Prior to joining the Carbery Chartered Physiotherapy, Cillian worked in a Corporate Wellness Centre in Cork and in private practice in Ballincollig. He is currently a member of Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and CORU.
Cillian has completed postgraduate courses in Trigger Point Dry Needling, Strength and Conditioning, Myofascial Release and Sports First Aid.
He strongly believes in promoting optimal health by shifting the focus of healthcare from a reactive, illness-based practice to proactive, preventative healthcare which is patient focused.
